Real oriental baklava at home: what dough to make

Baklava is an oriental sweet that is popular all over the world. This dessert is usually served in various establishments. But it is also possible to make it at home. You just need to buy filo dough for the base.
The idea of making homemade oriental baklava was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname recepti_dariko.

Ingredients:
- phyllo dough 1 pack - 400-500 g
- walnuts - 500 g
- butter - 200 g
- cinnamon - 1-1.5 tsp.
- pistachios 50-100 g (optional)

- water 300 ml
- sugar - 150 g
- honey - 50 g
- lemon juice - 1 tbsp.

1. Defrost the phyllo dough right in the package, and roll it out carefully, being careful not to break it. Cut each sheet in half. Melt the butter. Grease a baking dish in which to bake. Grind the walnuts in a meat grinder (you can also chop them with a rolling pin).

2. Take 2 halves (one on top of the other) of the dough, brush with butter, sprinkle with walnuts, and a pinch of cinnamon on top. Put an ordinary bamboo stick in and roll it up, pull it together, and take out the stick.

3. Cut the roll into 3 pieces. Do this with all the dough and filling. Fold the baklava into a roll-to-roll shape. Bake in a 180-degree oven for 35 minutes.

4. For the syrup, mix sugar, honey, water, and lemon juice, and cook for 10 minutes over low heat. Grind the pistachios with a rolling pin.

5. Pour the hot syrup over the hot baklava and sprinkle with pistachios. Let it brew for an hour.
