How to make dried tomatoes at home: the simplest technology
Traditionally, tomato is pickled and fermented, and added to salads. But recently, a new trend has emerged in the world of cooking – dried tomatoes. They are very spicy and flavorful. With this ingredient, any appetizer will become a real restaurant masterpiece.
Blogger Lidiia Buksha (lidiia_buksha_vasilyeva) shared how to dry tomatoes at home on her Instagram page.
The technology of cooking sun-dried tomatoes at home:
1. Cut small tomatoes in half.
2. Put in a single layer on a baking sheet.
3. Put fresh basil, but you can do without it.
4. Put in an oven preheated to 60-70 degrees and cure for 4 hours with the oven door ajar.
5. Put the finished tomatoes in a jar.
6. Add a crushed clove of garlic.
7. Pour over the heated olive oil (can be sunflower), and close the lid.
8. Store in the refrigerator.
These tomatoes can be used to make delicious bruschetta. The idea was published on the Instagram page of blogger Oksana Myroniuk (oksankamuronyk).
Ingredients:
- cream cheese
- sun-dried tomatoes
- arugula, basil
- dried cranberries and seeds (pumpkin, sunflower)
- baguette
Method of preparation:
1. Dry the baguette a little in the oven.
2. Spread the cream cheese.
3. Put the rest of the ingredients.
