Four products that are not so beneficial as people think are named

Michael Mosley, a doctor of public health and journalist, believes that people should avoid four foods that may seem healthy at first glance.

According to him, some low-fat foods that can be purchased at any supermarket do not actually have any nutritional value and may even contain sugar. He spoke about this to the Mirror.

Vegetable chips

It seems like a healthy alternative to potato chips, but in reality, it's not. Thin slices of vegetables do not contain enough nutritional value. In addition, they are fried in a large amount of oil, which completely kills all the vitamins. In this case, it is better to eat regular raw vegetables, nuts, or seeds, the expert says.

Instant porridge

According to Mosley, a typical bag of instant cereal can contain up to three spoons of sugar. Some brands even state that each serving of cereal contains 16 grams of sugar.

Ready-made salad dressings

Ready-made salad dressings are full of additives that extend their shelf life. They also contain thickeners and other unhealthy additives. The best alternative is to make your own salad dressing.

Foods with low fat content

For some reason, Mosley says, low-fat foods are thought to be much healthier than chips and sodas. But in fact, these kinds of products are completely devoid of nutrients and are usually full of sugar and food additives to compensate for the taste of the product lost during degreasing.
