What to cook pork ribs with to make them juicy: a simple idea
Pork ribs are the perfect meat for any side dish. The fact that there is a bone in them gives them a very delicate aroma and spicy flavor. The main thing is to stew the ribs with the right products.
The idea of cooking juicy pork ribs with prunes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha (olha.holovina).
Ingredients:
- ribs - 800 g
- prunes - 300-400 g
- spices for meat - to taste
- bay leaves - 4-5 pcs
- allspice - 4 pcs
- salt - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Choose ribs that have a fairly thick layer of meat and not much fat.
2. They should be cut, washed, and covered with water for 30-40 minutes to allow excess blood to drain.
3. Then rinse them again and put them on a plate covered with a napkin. Wipe the top with another napkin, removing excess moisture. The ribs should be dry.
4. Sprinkle them with meat spices and rub each rib. Leave for 10-15 minutes, and then fry on all sides in a little oil over medium heat.
5. Put the fried ribs in a saucepan or a multicooker bowl. Pour water (so that it covers the ribs by 1 cm), add salt, bay leaves and allspice. Simmer for 50 minutes (stewing mode).
6. If you are using a saucepan, bring the water to a boil, put it on low heat and simmer under the lid. After 50 minutes, add washed prunes and cook for the same amount of time (50 minutes).
