Simple pita bread pie in the oven: what to add to the filling
To avoid kneading the dough for pies for a long time, you can use ordinary pita bread. It bakes quickly and goes well with any filling. It is delicious with chicken, cheese, and corn.
The idea of making a lazy pita bread pie was published on the Instagram page of Olha Riabenko (olga_riabenko_), a super finalist of the MasterChef project. The dish looks very appetizing.
Ingredients:
- pita bread - 200 g
- onion - 1 pc.
- hard cheese - 200 g
- milk - 150 ml.
- butter - 70 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
- sugar - 1 tsp.
- salt, pepper - to taste
- canned corn - 1 can
- boneless chicken thigh or fillet - 400 g
- green onions
Method of preparation:
1. Boil chicken and disassemble it into fibers.
2. Chop and fry onion.
3. Add to the chicken.
4. Grate cheese.
5. Chop green onions.
6. Heat milk with butter and grease the pita bread.
7. Put the cheese, chicken, onion, corn, green onions on the pita bread and roll it up.
8. Grease a baking dish with oil.
9. Put the pita bread in it and press well to spread the pita bread in the mold.
10. Add egg and sugar to the milk.
11. Mix everything and pour over the cake.
12. Bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
