This kind of pita bread can be a simple alternative to bread. Or it can be the basis for many dishes: rolls, casseroles, muffins, or chebureks. And you can make such pita bread at home in a matter of minutes, just have water and flour.

The recipe for homemade water-based pita bread was shared by popular Ukrainian chef Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi (yaroslavskyi_vova) on his Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • flour – 480 g
  • boiling water – 100 ml
  • warm water – 200 ml
  • salt – 1 tsp
  • oil – 20 ml
  • flour (for dusting)

Method of preparation:

1. Sift the flour. Add salt to it.

2. Pour boiling water. Knead the dough with a spatula.

3. Pour the rest of the water and oil. Knead the dough and knead it for another 5 minutes. Leave it for 30 minutes.

7. Put the finished pita bread on a damp towel, sprinkle it with water, and cover it with another damp towel.
