How to make a real delicacy out of cheap fish: a restaurant dish in 10 minutes
Even the cheapest fish can be used to make a restaurant dish. You will need ingredients that you definitely have at home. The main thing is not to forget about spices, as well as stabilizing the overall taste with sugar.
Chef Serhii Pokanevich shared a recipe on his Instagram page and explained how to make a restaurant dish out of cheap fish.
Ingredients:
- fillet of any fish (pike perch in this recipe) - 1 kg
- tomatoes - 1 kg
- garlic - 1 head
- hot pepper - 1 pc
- tomatoes in their own juice - 1 can
- sugar - 1 tbsp
- water - 1 glass
- salt, turmeric, paprika, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Prepare vegetables in advance: chop tomatoes, peppers and garlic.
2. Heat a frying pan with oil. Put tomatoes and fish and add pepper and garlic. Add tomatoes in their own juice as well.
3. Add spices and sugar.
4. Pour water and simmer under the lid for 10 minutes.
