How to cook hake to make it soft and juicy: with vegetables and mushrooms
Hake is a versatile fish with few bones. This makes it ideal for baking. To make the texture of the product soft and juicy, you should use mushrooms and vegetables.
The idea of cooking hake with vegetables and mushrooms was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliana with the nickname kitchen_yuliana.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg hake fish
- 3 pieces of carrots
- 5 pcs of onions
- 500 g of mushrooms
- 100 g of flour
- 250 ml of water
- salt, pepper – to taste
- olive or vegetable oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Defrost and clean the carcasses. Cut off the fins.
2. Cut the fish into pieces and season with salt.
3. Chop the onion, mushrooms, and grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
4. Dip the fish in flour and fry on both sides.
5. When the fish has cooled, remove all the bones from it.
6. Fry all the onions and mushrooms separately.
7. Put onions and carrots on the bottom of the pan. Then mushrooms and fish. Continue in this order until all the ingredients are used up. The top layer should be onions.
8. Add salt to 250 ml of water, stir, and pour into a saucepan, cover, and put into the oven.
9. Bake at 180 degrees for 60 minutes, then reduce to 140 degrees and bake for another 50 minutes.
