How to cook fluffy rice in 15 minutes: an unexpected idea
Rice is a rather temperamental grain that is not easy to cook perfectly. This is due to its sticky texture - the product tends to turn into porridge during cooking. Therefore, to make rice fluffy, it needs to be cooked using a special technique.
The idea was published on the m.dessertt Instagram page. This technique involves cooking rice in a frying pan under parchment paper.
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse one cup of rice (you can choose any desired amount) well under water.
2. Pour 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a frying pan. You can use olive oil or even butter.
3. Add the rice and fry for exactly 2 minutes.
4. Pour in one cup of boiling water. The proportion is: 1 cup of rice = 1 cup of boiling water.
5. Add a pinch of salt.
6. Cover the pan with a sheet of parchment paper and then a lid.
7. Reduce the heat to low.
8. Cook the rice for 15 minutes.
