To make borscht rich, it is not necessary to cook it with pork. You can even use diet chicken. The main thing is to follow the technology of boiling meat so that the broth will be clear and rich.

Food blogger Yulia with the nickname jocheretyan shared her tips on how to make a deliciously rich borscht with chicken on Instagram. Follow these tips and your dish will be a success.

Ingredients:

  • chicken meat
  • onion
  • carrot
  • potatoes
  • tomatoes
  • tomato juice
  • beetroot
  • sauerkraut
  • cabbage - 0.5 pcs.
  • bell pepper
  • greens
  • garlic

Method of preparation:

1. Cook the chicken broth. To make it rich and clear, cook it over low heat. Collect all the foam or strain it through a sieve.

2. Take out the meat, and disassemble it from bones and skins.

3. Add two large whole potatoes and one whole onion to the broth.

4. Meanwhile, grate the sauerkraut. Cut fresh beets into strips.

5. Grate the carrots, cut the onion into small cubes, and fry in a frying pan. Add tomatoes and a little tomato juice for flavor.

6. Fry until the water evaporates. The roast should be thick.

7. Fry fresh beets in a separate pan.

8. Take the boiled whole potatoes out of the pan, and mash them.

9. Peel and dice the raw potatoes. Put them in the broth to cook.

10. After a while, add the sauerkraut to the potatoes.

11. When the potatoes are done, add the roast, roasted beets, shredded meat, and crushed potatoes.

12. At the very end, add the chopped cabbage and squeezed garlic.

13. Add salt and pepper to taste. The borscht is ready, serve it with sour cream, fresh herbs, garlic, delicious bread, and bacon.
