Bagels are one of the most popular bakery products of childhood. Children love bagels not only for the variety of fillings they can contain but also for the extremely tender dough that melts in the mouth.

Food blogger Anna Phil shared her recipe for fluffy and tender yeast bagels. On her Instagram, she explained in detail how to prepare the dough so that the bagels are soft and tender.

Ingredients

  • Milk – 125 ml
  • Dry yeast – 15 g
  • Sugar – 80 gr
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 p
  • Egg – 1 pc
  • Butter – 50 gr
  • Flour – 330 g

Ingredients for the filling

Jam, boiled condensed milk, cottage cheese, or poppy seed filling, etc.

Ingredients for the greasing

  • Egg yolk – 1 pc
  • Milk – 1 tsp.

Method of preparation

1. Add yeast, sugar, and vanilla sugar to warm milk. Stir and leave for 10 minutes.

2. Add the egg and soft butter. Mix with a whisk.

3. Add the flour. Knead the dough. Cover with plastic wrap and leave to rise for 1.5-2 hours.

4. Roll out the dough into a circle and cut it into triangles.

5. Spread the filling on the wide part of each triangle and form bagels.

6. Put the bagels on a baking sheet covered with parchment and leave for another 10-15 minutes.

7. Brush the bagels with egg yolk and milk and put them in a preheated 180-degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
