For many people, repeated attempts to cook crumbly rice result in the formation of one continuous lump of cereal. The product contains a lot of gluten, so simply boiling it in a 1:2 ratio will not work. The best solution in this case is to use a few simple life hacks.

Culinary expert Oleksandr (o_gorodnik) shared his ideal technology for making crumbly and juicy rice on Instagram. He notes that one of the most common mistakes is to soak rice in cold water.

What makes rice crumbly:

1. Pour the cereal into barely boiling water.

2. Be sure to salt the water. This is the most important thing.

3. After you have drained the water, add olive oil.

Ingredients:

  • water - 1.5 liters
  • salt (without a slide) - 2 tsp.
  • cinnamon stick (optional) - 1 pc.
  • bay leaves - 2 pieces (optional)
  • rice - 200 g (any variety)
  • olive oil - 2 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Pour water into a saucepan.

2. Add salt.

3. Add bay leaves and cinnamon.

4. Bring the water to a boil.

5. Pour rice into boiling water.

6. Cook for 10 minutes and stir.

7. Reduce the heat so that the rice does not boil too much.

8. Drain the water through a sieve.

9. Add olive oil.

10. It can be used as a side dish or added to fillings.
