Chicken liver cake: recipe for filling with carrots and onions
The liver cake is based on tender and fluffy liver pancakes and a juicy filling: carrots, onions, mushrooms, fresh vegetables and herbs. You can use either regular mayonnaise, cream cheese, or sour cream for the frosting.
Food blogger Oksana Komashchuk (komashchuk_ksu) shared a recipe for liver cake with carrots and onions on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 1 kg
- chicken egg - 4 pcs
- milk - 300 ml
- flour - 1 glass
- onion - 2 pcs
- carrots - 2 pcs
- garlic - 2-3 cloves
- mayonnaise (sour cream) - 250 g
- salt, pepper
- herbs
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the liver, then add the egg, milk, salt and pepper. Beat with a blender until smooth.
2. Add flour to the resulting mass. The dough should be as thick as sour cream.
3. Fry thin liver pancakes.
4. For the filling, chop the onion, grate the carrots. Fry over low heat until tender.
5. Add greens, mayonnaise and garlic to the cooled vegetables. Stir to combine.
6. Grease the prepared pancakes with the filling, forming a cake. Decorate as desired.
