Oleksandr Zlotnyk: "Cooperation was out of the question"
The legendary Ukrainian composer Oleksandr Zlotnyk told us about the proposal that Putin's Ivan Okhlobystin made to him on the eve of 2014. The Russian actor came to Kyiv to meet with the famous Ukrainian.
Oleksandr Zlotnyk told about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA. The composer explained why he refused the offer of the hurrah-patriot.
"Yes, we met in Kyiv, in the capital's Cinema House," says Zlotnyk. "He wanted me to become the composer of a film for which he wrote the script. And then came 2014, with all the tragic events, and of course, cooperation was out of the question. In addition, we know what position Okhlobystin chose regarding Ukraine."
Zlotnyk also admitted that because of the Russian invasion, he had cut off communication with everyone he knew in Russia: "I do not communicate with anyone – neither with friends nor with relatives."
Earlier, Russian actor Ivan Okhlobystin, whom Ukrainians may remember from the TV series "Interns," claimed the territory of Ukraine and stated how he sees it in the future. According to him, the country should be divided among its neighbors, and he was willing to give Ukraine as much as one region.
In addition, the propagandist Ivan Okhlobystin has been spreading nonsense about the "brotherhood" of Russians and Ukrainians. He considers Ukrainians and Russians to be one people but with a certain nuance: the former are called Nazis. However, he respects the "greatest Nazi," Zelenskyy.
