Evgeny Milkovsky

Yevgeny Gennadievich Milkovsky is a Ukrainian musician, singer, founder of the rock band Nervy.

Eugene Milkovsky was born in Krasnoarmeysk.

Since his mother was a music teacher, he also passed on her passion. From the age of 14 Evgeny started playing guitar.

Then Eugene moved to Kiev, where he was a participant of the first season of the Ukrainian project "Star Factory". After failing at the project, Eugene returned to Pokrovsk and started working as a bartender, but eventually returned to Kiev again to get a higher education. In the capital, he entered the director's faculty of the Kiev University of Culture.

At the same time he started a solo career, recording songs under the pseudonym Milkovskyi, performing songs in Russian.

Eventually Eugene began to dream of creating a rock band. Having found like-minded people, he founded the band "Nervy", which in 2012 released its debut album "All That's Around".

In 2020, the second solo album "A Man with Rain in His Head" was released, and a year later - the third "Return Home". All songs on the albums were Russian-language, and therefore both the solo work and the songs of the group "Nervy" gained popularity in the Russian Federation.

Milkovsky did not react in any way in his creativity to the invasion of the Russian Federation in eastern Ukraine, as well as the annexation of Crimea in 2014. Moreover, in 2015, the group Nervy signed a contract with the Russian label Gazgolder and moved to Moscow.

Only after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Milkovsky and Nervy announced that they would no longer work in the aggressor country.

In the same 2022, Milkovsky wrote his first Ukrainian-language song.

"Nervy" with a number of other performers gave charity concerts, all proceeds of which were donated to help war victims.

Eugene met with the Russian drummer Alina Olesheva. In early 2022, the couple separated.
