Oleksandr Novikov is the head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine.

Brief biography of Oleksandr Novikov

Oleksandr Novikov received a higher legal education at the Kharkiv Law Academy of Ukraine named after Yaroslav the Wise.

After his studies, Novikov worked for a long time in Sumy region: there he held the position of investigative assistant to the prosecutor of Sumy from 2004 to 2007. Later, from 2007 until 2012, he held the position of prosecutor of the department of supervision over compliance with the law by internal affairs bodies during initial inquiries and pre-trial investigations.

In 2012, Novikov took a prosecutor's chair in the department of protection of economic interests of the state in the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine. In 2014, Oleksandr Novikov moved to Kyiv, where he continued to work in the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.

In 2015, Novikov claimed the posts of Chairman or First Deputy Chairman of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine.

In 2019, Oleksandr Novikov was appointed head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
