Despite their extensive experience in countering Palestinian terrorism, in particular the Hamas group, Israel's intelligence services failed to detect the preparation of the attack in time and prevent its implementation.

"Judging by the events that we can now observe in southern Israel, no one was warned in any way probably because they were not considered threatening. In other words, they were organized so carefully that they even managed to bypass the attentive Israeli special services. This all suggests that the organization was done not just by some terrorists in a garage preparing hundreds of rockets to fire at Israel or by some groups of suicide bombers trying to break into Israel, but it was a high-level preparation," Kovalenko said.

In addition, he noted that the terrorists used highly mobile vehicles for the surprise attack, including SUVs, motorcycles, and even paragliders. Kovalenko emphasized that there is a certain trace of Iranian military and instructors in the planning of this terrorist attack. In addition, he noted that Israel will not tolerate such attacks at all, so the response to the terrorists will be quite harsh.

"As you know, Hamas, Iran and Russia are creating a kind of triangle of interaction in the Middle East, political and other. What will be the consequences? The consequences will be quite severe. Israel will not ignore such a slap in the face as it is indeed a slap in the face. Kovalenko predicts that Hamas will bear full responsibility for the victims, which will be not only in Israel but also in Palestine itself. The expert emphasized that the Israeli state in its methods does not listen to the voice of tolerance and pacifism from Western countries, but acts as harshly as possible so that terrorists do not have a desire to repeat such attacks.
