US President Joe Biden has condemned the attempted assassination of Donald Trump during his campaign speech in Pennsylvania. He called his opponent, who was taken to the hospital with a minor injury. The victim said that he was fine.

At the same time, it became known that a civilian was killed in the incident and some were injured. The American leader's reaction was posted on the X and on the White House website.

"I have been informed of the shooting at Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania. I am glad to hear that he is safe and doing well. My prayers are with him and his family, as well as everyone who was at the rally, as we await more information," Biden said.

According to him, he and his wife are grateful to the Secret Service for taking the Republican to a safe place.

"There is no place for such violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it," the president added.

As a reminder, on July 13, during a speech by US presidential candidate Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, the sound of shooting was heard. After a series of shots, the politician fell to the ground. Photos published online show blood on his face.

"The Secret Service agents 'pounced' on Trump and hid behind the podium. Blood could be seen on his right ear as they surrounded him and led him off the stage to a car to be taken away," ABCnews noted.

Citing the Republican's press service, they reported that one of the civilians was killed, and several other citizens were seriously injured. The shooter is allegedly already dead.

"Trump is fine. The alleged shooter is dead. According to officials, one spectator was killed, two are in serious condition," the publication writes.
