Russians continue to strengthen their positions in Kharkiv direction - OTGT Kharkiv

The situation in the Kharkiv sector remains difficult. Russian occupation forces continue to strengthen their positions and reinforce their units.

This is stated in a report of the operational-tactical grouping of troops (OTGT) Kharkiv as of 9:00 a.m. on October 6. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to deter Russian attacks.

In the area of Hlyboke, the enemy is moving additional personnel to reinforce its units at the front lines, and is also trying to organize logistics support with the help of rigging groups.

Not far from Lukiantsi, the enemy continues engineering works at the occupied positions.

In the vicinity of Tykhe, the enemy focused its main efforts on providing logistics. During the night, they conduct aerial reconnaissance to detect Ukrainian Defense Forces units.

In Vovchansk, sporadic movements of personnel were recorded, which are aimed at organizing logistics and replenishing current losses.

According to the available information, 6 combat engagements took place in the areas of Lyptsi, Starytsia and Vovchansk over the last day. The Russian occupiers conducted 1 air strike using 2 combat aircraft and launched 48 kamikaze drones. In total, they fired at the positions of Ukrainian defenders 398 times.

The defense forces respond to the enemy's actions and continue to destroy the personnel, weapons and military equipment of the Russian troops. The enemy's losses over the past day amounted to 96 people, 38 of whom were severely injured and 58 - moderately.

Also, the enemy lost 91 units of weapons and military equipment both destroyed and damaged, including 1 tank, 1 armored combat vehicle, 3 anti-tank vehicles, 3 artillery systems, 30 passenger cars, 4 special equipment units and 49 UAVs. In addition, 53 personnel shelters and 2 ammunition storage sites were destroyed.

Earlier, it was reported that the enemy's intentions towards Kharkiv region remain unchanged. The Russian occupiers are still trying to reach Kharkiv. And the Kursk operation gave the necessary pause, which was used by the Defense Forces.

As reported, Ukrainian soldiers managed to restrain the active offensive of the occupiers near Pokrovsk. Also, the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not allow the enemy to break through in the Kursk direction.
