President: Situation at the front creates an opportunity to end the war no later than 2025

Currently, the situation at the front creates an opportunity to end the Russian-Ukrainian war. And this can happen no later than 2025.

This opinion was expressed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the "Ukraine – Southeast Europe" Summit. The event is taking place in Dubrovnik (Croatia).

"In October, November, and December, we have a chance to move the situation towards peace and lasting stability. The situation on the battlefield creates an opportunity to make this choice. A choice for decisive action to end the war no later than 2025," the Ukrainian leader said.

In addition, the President said that the document "Fundamentals of Peace", which will set out detailed conditions for a fair end to the war, will be ready by November. The Head of State emphasized that Russia was avoiding honest diplomacy, which is why Ukraine had developed an action plan that could bridge the gap between the current situation and the successful holding of the Peace Summit.

"For us, it is a plan of victory. For each of your countries, it is a plan for reliable stability. When the Plan is fully implemented, Russia will lose its ability to threaten Europe," the President noted.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy added that the first point of the Victory Plan refers to whether the problem of geopolitical uncertainty in Europe will be overcome. According to him, peace is impossible without it. That is why the real steps towards it are the invitation to NATO and Ukraine's future membership in the Alliance.

In addition:

– Croatia has allocated 10 million euros for demining in Ukraine and will continue to provide the necessary equipment.

– Croatia pledges to support Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO and to help bring Russia to justice and compensate for the damage caused by its aggression.

– It is worth noting that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, the total amount of assistance provided by Croatia to Kyiv has amounted to about €300 million.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on an official visit to Croatia on October 9. He held a conversation with Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, in particular, on defense cooperation, rehabilitation of wounded defenders, and the reconstruction of Ukraine, and the visit program also includes meetings with representatives of other countries in the region.
