Ukraine and the Czech Republic will sign a security agreement: Fiala tells when it will happen

Ukraine and the Czech Republic have agreed on a date for signing a security agreement. Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said that this will happen at the summit of the European Political Community in the UK on July 18.

This was reported by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala on the social networking site X. According to him, it was agreed to complete negotiations on the text of the Czech-Ukrainian agreement.

"Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and I agreed that we would finalize negotiations on the text of the Czech-Ukrainian security agreement before the NATO summit in Washington. Then we will sign it at the summit of the European Political Community in London on July 18," Fiala said.

It is worth noting that Ukraine has already signed security guarantee agreements with 18 European countries and the United States. The partner countries include the United Kingdom, Norway, Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Latvia, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Sweden, Iceland, Lithuania, and Estonia.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs concrete steps to help bring a just and lasting peace to Ukrainians. The Head of State noted that this will also strengthen reliable stability for all countries of the world.
