Russian air defense missed two Storm Shadow missiles: new details of the destruction of the Novocherkassk dock landing ship in Feodosia

Russian landing ship in Crimea hit by two Storm Shadow missiles

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have attacked the dock landing ship Novocherkassk in the temporarily occupied Crimea with two British-French Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles. Moreover, the port of Feodosia, where the ship was docked, is protected by several S-400 Triumph divisions, which have recently been found to have problems with target identification.

New details of the landmark attack by Ukrainian troops on the Russian invaders were provided by the Telegram channel Dossier of the Spy. It is noted that after the strike, the ship began to detonate its cargo.

According to the channel's author, the ship was carrying 4,400 artillery shells, as well as 280 missiles for Grad multiple rocket launchers.

"I cannot confirm the information about the presence of Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs on board (as previously reported by many TG channels)," he added.

In addition, the report noted that at least 62 crew members were on board the ship at the time of the attack. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that one of them was killed. However, as the author of the channel noted, the completion of the evacuation of the personnel only 1.5 hours after the strike due to a severe fire suggests that the figures announced by the Russian agency are somewhat underestimated.

Also, according to the "spy", the rescue tugboat "Captain Guryev", which was standing on a nearby pier, sustained non-critical damage as a result of the attack.

Earlier, it was reported that the Russian S-400 Triumph air defense system malfunctioned in Crimea, resulting in the occupiers wasting 3 air defense missiles. It turned out that the system's radar malfunctioned and detected targets that did not exist. The Russians fired three missiles, two of which exploded in the air and another fell in the field.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

- Last night explosions were heard in occupied Feodosia. The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the Novocherkassk ship there at about 3 am. The occupation "authorities" kept silent for some time, and then the governor Sergey Aksyonov announced an "enemy attack" without going into details.

- In the morning, the Air Force confirmed the destruction of the Novocherkassk, which could have been transporting a batch of Shahedis. Even the Russian Defense Ministry was forced to admit the defeat, though it only managed to make a statement about "damage."

- Forbes reported that the cost of the Novocherkassk aircraft destroyed in Crimea was $85 million. Judging by the photos from the explosion site, the ship is beyond repair.

- Ukraine's Defense Ministry trolled the Russian occupiers after the attack on the Russian Black Sea Fleet's Novocherkassk. The ministry joked that the Ukrainian military had "modified" the enemy vessel, turning it into a "submarine."
