Ohryzko pointed out a telling nuance in Biden's statement on Ukraine and explained what could change the situation on the battlefield
For the first time, US President Joe Biden has openly stated the need to defeat Russia. Previously, the White House's rhetoric was limited to statements about self-defense and assistance in preserving Ukraine's statehood.
However, only Ukraine's ability to strike at Russia with long-range weapons will help to change the situation on the battlefield. This was stated by former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko in an exclusive interview with OBOZ.UA.
According to him, the White House has decided that it is necessary to support Ukraine in its victory over Russia. Ohryzko noted that Biden and his entire administration tried not to use such words before. The White House talked about assistance for self-defense and for the preservation of Ukrainian statehood. But now the American authorities are openly stating the need to defeat Russia.
At the same time, after the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United States, the issue of striking Russia with Western weapons remained open. At the same time, Ohryzko recalled that the United States very elegantly offered Ukraine to become a country that produces long-range missiles that can fly up to 900 kilometers.
"And this, in fact, is also a difficult decision of the Biden administration. So, we can say that this military aspect is now being covered quite well. And this is an opportunity for Ukraine to change the situation on the battlefield very seriously," Ohryzko said.
As a reminder, US President Joe Biden said that Russia will not win this war. He clearly and confidently said that Ukraine will win, and the United States will support and strengthen Ukraine in this battle and help it in the long run.

The White House noted that the event will be held next month in Germany. This will allow coordinating the efforts of more than 50 countries that support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression.
