"Fighting for every house, garden and shed": war correspondent on the situation in Vovchansk

The Russian occupation army continues its offensive in the north of Kharkiv region and is trying to capture the city of Vovchansk and other settlements. The village of Lyptsi remains one of the main targets of the enemy in the Kharkiv region.

Fighting is currently ongoing in Vovchansk, and the enemy has managed to make some progress within the city. This was reported by military correspondent Boghan Myroshnykov.

According to him, Russian troops are trying to capture Lyptsi to get closer to Kharkiv and shell the outskirts of the regional center with cannon artillery. In this way, the occupiers are trying to draw as many Ukrainian forces from Donetsk region to Kharkiv region as possible.

Myroshnykov emphasized that the enemy is trying to capture Vovchansk as this town is a transportation hub in the border area. Putin's troops are attacking in two directions almost equally, which forces the AFU to disperse their forces.

"The enemy has made some progress in Vovchansk. Our soldiers are trying to hold it back with all their might. Moreover, there are ongoing attempts to counterattack. No one is surrendering anything, the fight is for every house, garden and shed," the correspondent wrote.

In addition, Myroshnykov does not rule out that together with the attacks in the Kharkiv region, the enemy will try to strike a decisive blow near Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. According to him, the invaders will try to finally cross the canal south of the eponymous neighborhood, followed by a move to the northwest to bypass the Dnipro quarry from the west.

As a reminder, Russian terrorists seized a hospital building in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, and were amassing assault units there. Therefore, Ukrainian troops had to destroy the medical facility in order to inflict huge losses on the enemy.

Earlier, it was reported that the Russian occupiers failed to realize their tactical intentions during the offensive in Kharkiv region. Defense forces are holding them back at the contact line. In some areas, Ukrainian soldiers are even driving the Russians out of their captured positions.
