Entire groups of Russian soldiers began to surrender: the Armed Forces explain what is happening

Ukrainian troops destroyed 5 enemy ammunition depots

The Russian occupiers are becoming less and less interested in assault operations at the front. They have begun to surrender to the Ukrainian military in large numbers.

In particular, this situation is observed in the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported by Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces in Tavria sector, during a TV marathon.

"There is information about an increasing number of occupants' refusals to participate in assault operations. In particular, this is recorded in the units of the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces. It should be noted that whole groups of Russian servicemen have begun to surrender," Shtupun said.

According to the spokesman, over the past three days, one group of six military occupation forces was captured after a short battle. Another group of almost the same size surrendered without fighting.

"As they say, they came to the voice literally after several shots in the air," the spokesman said.

Shtupun noted that one of the reasons why the Russians surrendered was the cruel treatment they received from their command. In particular, these are harsh punishments for refusing to participate in pointless assaults or for any other violations. Officers strip soldiers naked in winter, put them in "cold pits", beat them and threaten to shoot them.

In addition, the information that an increasing number of occupants refuse to take part in combat operations was confirmed by the commander of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.

"There is information about an increasing number of occupants' refusals to participate in assault operations, in particular, in the units of the 1st Army Corps. It should be noted that entire groups of Russian soldiers have begun to surrender. I am grateful to our soldiers who are forcing the enemy to do so with their brave and decisive actions," Tarnavskyi said.

He also said that the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions in Avdiivka, Marinka and Zaporizhzhia directions. They are conducting active infantry attacks with the use of armored vehicles and aircraft, as well as using guided aerial bombs.

According to Tarnavskyi, the enemy carried out a total of 16 air strikes, initiated 40 combat engagements and fired 906 artillery shells in the Tavria operational area. The enemy's losses over the past day amounted to 402 people, with 8 occupants surrendering.

Ukrainian forces destroyed 42 pieces of military equipment, including 2 tanks, 10 armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), 5 artillery systems, 2 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 17 drones and 2 pieces of special equipment. Another 37 pieces of enemy equipment were damaged. Among the destroyed property is the pride of the enemy's defense industry - the T-90M Proryv tank. Five enemy ammunition depots were also destroyed.
