DPRK catches up with Russia to threaten the West with nuclear escalation if Ukraine aid extended

Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin

North Korea has once again threatened the civilized world with nuclear war after the United States announced a large military aid package to Ukraine. The DPRK complained that Kyiv's support was an "incredible mistake" and "playing with fire" against Russia.

North Korean dictator's sister Kim Yo Jong has said that the West should not ignore Russia's nuclear threats. This was reported by Reuters.

Another surge in nuclear threats from the DPRK came after the United States announced $8 billion in military aid to Ukraine. The DPRK complained that the transfer of long-range weapons to Kyiv, which would increase Ukraine's ability to strike Russia from safer distances, could lead to a nuclear escalation.

Kim Yo Jong said that Washington is allegedly exacerbating the conflict in Ukraine and bringing the whole of Europe to the brink of nuclear war.

"The United States and the West should not dismiss or underestimate Russia's serious warning. Are the United States and the West really able to handle the consequences as they recklessly play with fire against Russia, which is a nuclear superpower?" Kim said in a statement published by the state-run KCNA news agency.

She also said that continuing to provide military assistance to Ukraine would be "an incredible mistake and foolish act." At the same time, Pyongyang continues to assist Moscow in its military aggression against Ukraine. The DPRK supplies the occupiers with missiles and ammunition, which are used by the Russians to carry out terrorist attacks against peaceful Ukrainian cities.

As a reminder, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov once again repeated the main narrative of the aggressor country, namely resorting to threats with nuclear weapons. The Russian Foreign Minister did so from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly.

Earlier, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu flew to the DPRK and met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un to discuss strengthening "cooperation to protect mutual security interests."
