Britain's intelligence agency pointed out the consequences of attacks on Russian territory, saying they are of strategic importance

The drone attacks that have recently become more frequent throughout Russia and Moscow in particular are of important strategic significance. After all, Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin must have been convinced that his bloody war in Ukraine would not affect Russians.

This was stated in a British intelligence summary published on Twitter by the UK Ministry of Defense. It noted that in addition to UAVs, there are increasing reports of SA-5 GAMMON missiles, which also strike the territory of the Russian Federation.

"This 7.5-ton, 11-meter-long, Soviet-era weapon has been withdrawn from Ukrainian service. However, it is now probably used as a ballistic missile for ground targets," the scouts explained.

They noted that the pressure on the leadership of the Russian Air and Space Forces (VKS) has increased due to these "explosive" events. It is required to improve air defense over western Russia.

The whereabouts of the commander-in-chief of the VKS General Sergei Surovikin are still unknown. There are rumors that he was detained in connection with the PMC Wagner mutiny in June 2023.
