A boarding house where the occupants were based was burning: new details of the fire with detonation of a BC near Mariupol have surfaced
New details of the "cotton candy" incident that took place in the temporarily occupied Sedove near Mariupol, Donetsk region, on the evening of November 5 have become known. As a result of the arrivals, a fire broke out in the Druzhba boarding house, where the Russian occupiers were stationed and ammunition was placed.
This was reported by the Russian edition of ASTRA. Officially, Russia has decided to position this fire as a "domestic" fire, while propagandists are talking about a missile attack.
According to ASTRA, on the evening of November 5, in the temporarily occupied Sedov, a fire broke out in the Druzhba boarding house on Komsomolska Street, where Russian occupiers and ammunition for the invading army were located, as a result of arrivals. The fire broke out around 19:00.
"Russian soldiers were based in the boarding house. At 20:20, the rescuers localized the fire, after which the ammunition stored on the territory began to detonate. Officially, Russian rescuers recorded this fire as a "domestic" fire in the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Nothing is known about the victims," the newspaper writes.
Officially, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said that there was a "domestic fire" in the boarding house. But Russian propagandists got confused in the versions they voiced.
For example, Russian propagandist Romanov initially decided to support the official version and stated that "there was no arrival - a small building with a small stock of BC shorted out and a fire started".
But the Donbass Partisan propaganda public account claimed that missiles launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces had hit the Russian base.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces with Storm Shadow/ATACMC missiles (the attack was massive and mixed) struck an ammunition depot of the Russian Armed Forces in Sedov, which is more than 100 km from the contact line," the propagandists said.
Romanov, a supporter of the "wiring short circuit" version, later reposted the message about the missile attack.
Petro Andriushchenko, an advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, also wrote about the arrival of the Druzhba on the evening of November 5.
"How demonstrative it is. . The place of formation of the warehouse and barracks is the Druzhba boarding house. Sedove is closed for exit and entry again. The occupiers are trying to remove the consequences from the information field as much as possible, because they have not yet succeeded in removing the real consequences on the ground," he said.
Later, Andriushchenko added that dozens of occupants were injured in the strike. This is evidenced by the number of ambulances rushing from Sedove to Taganrog in Russia.
As a reminder, in the evening of November 5, a fire bro ke out in the village of Sedove near the temporarily occupied Mariupol. Afterwards, a powerful detonation was heard, as the fire hit the occupiers' ammunition depot.
The cannonade of ammunition explosions was heard in Mariupol and nearby settlements. There were also reports of possible damage to enemy helicopters and equipment.
According to Andriushchenko, "almost the entire village was turned into a military warehouse and a parking lot for military vehicles," although the damage to the helicopters has not yet been confirmed.
