Former world heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev does not expect anything good for Russia and its sports after Donald Trump takes office as US president. According to the so-called State Duma deputy, the aggressor country will only be able to take advantage of the "pause in America's relations with Zelensky."

Valuev said this in an interview with Sport24. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime and an ardent fan of the war in Ukraine added that Russians have "a lot to do at the front," but sanctions against Russian athletes and their suspension will be maintained.

"We do not expect any changes from Trump regarding Russia and Russian sports. Unless we take advantage of the pause in America's relations with Zelensky and manage to do a lot on the front. Now Taiwan will be at the forefront, but not the new US leader," Valuev said.

As a reminder, the 60th presidential election took place in the United States on November 5. Donald Trump has already declared himself the winner of the vote. Earlier, Nikolai Valuev called nuclear weapons the best friend of the Russians.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Nikolai Valuev attack ed Ukraine with insults and accused it of violating international rules because of its resistance to Russian aggression.
