Volodymyr Lazarenko died at the age of 65

Volodymyr Lazarenko, manager of the scientific and methodological division of the sports and technical department of the Ukrainian national teams, has died, the press service of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) reports. Details of the fatal tragedy that occurred on October 10 have not been disclosed. Volodymyr Ivanovych was 64 years old.

Lazarenko was born in Chernihiv. After graduating from the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics in 1982, from 1986 to 2008 he worked at the research center of Kyiv's Dynamo, created by Anatolii Zelentsov. In 1988, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Hlushkov Kyiv Institute of Cybernetics.

He collaborated with Valerii Lobanovskyi when he worked with the UAE and Kuwait national teams in 1990-1996.

Since 1996, he has worked with Ukrainian national teams of all ages. Since 2008, Volodymyr Lazarenko has been the head of the country's football research group, which cooperates with all national teams.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on October 4, the legendary football player of Kyiv's Dynamo, former coach of the Ukrainian national team, and former president of the UAF Anatolii Konkov died at the age of 76. The European Championship vice-champion and Olympic bronze medalist died in Kyiv.
