"We will beat everyone. It's possible. May get into the top 3": the Russian Olympic champion broke the mold during an interview
The two-time Olympic champion Evgeny Plushenko has spouted enchanting nonsense about the imaginary greatness of Russia, which will "defeat everyone." The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime and ardent Z-patriot was confused about whether the aggressor country is the strongest in figure skating.
Plyushchenko said this in an interview with the YouTube channel yanapozitive37, Sport24 reports. The former figure skater, who called Russia's invasion of Ukraine "the defense of our territories," in a patriotic frenzy called on his compatriots to continue to endure sanctions.
"If we enter the international arena now, we will beat everyone. Perhaps in men's singles - not a fact, but we can be in the top 3. We have to wait it out. We have to keep working. Perhaps, yes, there is no motivation, but we have to keep training, to be in the mix, because one day it will end. The sanctions will be lifted, and we will win. And we will also beat everyone in sports," Plyushchenko said.
Earlier, the famous Russian figure skater Ilya Averbukh made an epic bend in front of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin and became a laughingstock online.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently officially deprived the Russian figure skating team of the gold medal at Beijing 2022 because of doping by Kamila Valiya.
