Unbeaten boxer wins fight with rare 'delayed' knockout, stunning fans with punch. Video
Famous Japanese boxer Yoshiki Takei (7-0, 7 KOs) got a phenomenal victory over Ronnie Baldonado (16-5-1, 9 KOs) of the Philippines. The former champion kickboxer had his second lightweight bout ended early.
From the first seconds, Takei took the center of the ring, working as the number one. Not worrying about defense, the 27-year-old Japanese emphasized swinging kicks, while the Filipino boxer stayed near the ropes, trying to counterattack with crosses.
The denouement came in the 3rd round. Takei was first hit with a right to the head and then a left to the body.
At first it looked like Baldonado would be able to continue the fight, but seconds later he fell to the canvas like a hamstring.
This delayed knockout sparked a lot of discussion on social media. According to The Sun, Baldonado's reaction made fans feel his discomfort through the screen, simply stunning boxing fans.
One said: "The delayed reaction shows how painful it was."
Another added: "The sound of the liver shattering... yuck, buddy."
A third replied, "My stomach hurts."
And a fourth replied, "What's the shot ???".
