UEFA suddenly denied Ukrainian national team's qualification for Under-21 Championship

Ukraine's national team has not yet reached the UEFA Under-21

The European Football Union (UEFA) has denied its statement that the Ukrainian youth national team qualified for the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship ahead of schedule. Now it is clarified that the team of coach Unai Melgosa has guaranteed a place in the top 2 of the group but has not yet won a ticket to the tournament.

This is stated on the UEFA website. The Ukrainians have won all eight qualifying matches but may not yet become the group winner or one of the three best teams that took second place. This conclusion was reached by UEFA analysts after studying all possible options.

The chances of the team making the playoffs are slim. This requires a coincidence of a whole range of results.

With two rounds to go, the Ukrainians are five points ahead of England in Group F. In the remaining matches, Melgosa's men will play away with their main pursuer (October 10) and Serbia (October 15). The draw for the final part of the Euro Under- 21 will take place on December 3.
