Elena Vyalbe, president of the Russian Ski Federation, expressed the absurd idea that foreign athletes are afraid to compete with Russian representatives because of fear. The Vladimir Putin regime's henchwoman explained this by the pressure from the authorities of Western countries.

Välbe said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The three-time Olympic champion in relay racing added that the foreigner was "told to sit, be afraid, be silent" about her desire to participate in tournaments with Russians.

"The thing is that athletes may want to compete with us, but they can't decide anything. They've been told to sit, be afraid, be quiet. This is life, they live in their country and obey their leaders. I don't think that athletes from several countries will unite and make a revolution so that Russians can compete as well. Earlier, in a patriotic rant, she said that the West was looking at the Russian Olympics with envy, for which she was scathingly ridiculed by a Norwegian journalist.
