Problems arose: Real Madrid coach urgently met with Ukraine goalkeeper

Ukraine's goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will play in the Real Madrid squad for at least two of the team's upcoming matches. The injury of Belgian Thibaut Courtois forced the coach of the "creamy" Carlo Ancelotti to hold an urgent meeting with our compatriot, at which the Italian expressed his support for his ward.

This is reported by the portal Defensa Central. Courtois suffered a minor injury to the adductor muscle in his left leg in the derby with Atletico last Sunday. Although the 32-year-old goalkeeper played the crucial match to the end, he complained of problems after the final whistle.

The examination revealed a micro-injury that will keep the player out for at least two weeks. Ancelotti is now forced to turn to Lunin's services. "You should know that we have full confidence in you," the Real Madrid coach told Andriy.

The Ukrainian goalkeeper will take the field in the Champions League matches against French side Lille (October 2, 22:00) and the Spanish championship against Villarreal (October 5, 22:00). Courtois is expected to return after the international break in the La Liga game against Celta (October 19).
