Navka speaks out about the war

Olympic champion Tatyana Navka reacted cynically to the fact that Russia is bombing the country where she was born. The former figure skater and wife of Dmitry Peskov noted that she does not care about the war in Ukraine and does not know what led to the invasion of another state by Russia.

Navka said this in an interview with Argumenty i Fakty, whose correspondent asked "how this could happen to our neighbors," recalling the birthplace of Peskov's wife in Dnipropetrovsk (now Dnipro). The winner of the 2006 Turin Games responded by calling Ukraine a "neighboring country."

"How this could happen to neighboring countries and peoples? I don't know. But much more important to me is the answer to following question. What will be the future of our children? Of course, I want all of them to live in peace and harmony with their neighbors and with themselves. Of course, we talk about all kinds of things at home, both with each other and with our children. In my opinion, that's how it should be in a family. And yes, I became more aware of political topics," Navka said.

Recently, the wife of dictator Vladimir Putin's press secretary suddenly acknowledged the success of the AFU in Luhansk, cancelling all shows in the region. On Russia Day, Navka congratulated her followers on social media, but the reaction she received was not what she had hoped for.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Tatyana Navka boasted that she premiered a new show and received unflattering comments from Russians in response.
