"How dare you do this": Russia hysterical over IOC's decision to stripe Putin of an Olympic medal
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko is outraged that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has taken away the gold medal from Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin. The dictator's henchman called the decision rash and demanded an explanation from IOC President Thomas Bach.
Chernyshenko said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The official explained that the president of the Russian terrorist state was deprived of his award for the doping scandal that Russia got into after the 2014 Olympics. At the same time, the Russian deputy prime minister lied that all athletes from the aggressor country had been acquitted by the courts.
"They took away the golden Olympic medal from our president, which is unbelievable, because of the alleged doping scandal. But Russia has won all the lawsuits in international courts against our Olympic medalists. For some reason, no one talks about this, for some reason the order has not been returned. Therefore, I would be very interested to meet with Thomas Bach and ask him about it personally. I'm interested in his answer," Chernyshenko said.
As a result of the proceedings after the Sochi Olympics when the state doping system was exposed, 11 medals were taken away from Russians. Earlier, Chernyshenko expressed the absurd idea that Europeans and Americans would not be able to look Russians in the eyes after the end of the war in Ukraine.
As previously reported, two-time Olympic swimming champion Evgeny Rylov called supporting Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin a more important event than participating in the 2024 Games in Paris.
