German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock arrived in Kyiv on the morning of September 11. This is her fourth visit to the Ukrainian capital since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
The head of the diplomatic ministry promised Ukraine continued support on its way to the European Union. This is reported by the publication Tagesschau (to see the photo, scroll to the end of the page).
The politician arrived in the capital on a visit that was initially kept secret for security reasons. The German foreign minister promised to support Ukraine in its fight against the Russian occupiers. At the same time, she emphasized that Ukraine should focus on further reforms.
Berbock paid special attention to the need to fight corruption in Ukraine. At the same time, the head of the diplomatic department said that Ukraine can rely on Germany for support on the way to the EU.
"Ukraine protects the freedom of all of us. Just as Ukraine stands for us, it can also rely on us. Germany will strongly support Ukraine on its path to the European Union," Berbock said.
According to Berbock, Ukraine's performance in judicial reform and media legislation already deserves respect. However, she added that there was still much to be done in implementing the anti-oligarchy law and fighting corruption.
We shall remind you that German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that Berlin would continue to help Ukraine, which is fighting Russia's invasion, both at the bilateral level and in international organizations.
Earlier, Berbock expressed support for the transfer of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. She said that Berlin "considers all wishes" of Kyiv, and Russia's full-scale invasion shows that "every day counts."
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Berbock believes that the drone strikes on Moscow, which Russia accuses Ukraine of, do not violate international law. After all, it was the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine, and Kyiv has the legal right to defend itself.
