What inexpensive cars do Ukrainians buy amid a falling market

In September, the new car market in Ukraine fell by 30% compared to the previous month. As usual, low-cost cars dominate sales, as Ukrainians are saving money.

Among new cars on the market, Ukrainian buyers have long preferred crossovers. They consider such cars to be very practical. In September 2024, according to statistics from Ukravtoprom, the new car market amounted to 5.7 thousand units. Almost all the cars in the top ten are inexpensive crossovers.

The most popular cars in Ukraine:

1. Renault Duster (504 units);
2. Toyota RAV4 (295 units);
3. Mazda CX-5 (161 units);
4. Toyota Hilux (148 units);
5. Skoda Karoq (138 units);
6. Hyundai Tucson (129 units);
7. Skoda Kodiaq (129 units);
8. Skoda Octavia (128 units);
9. Volkswagen Touareg (114 units);
10. Kia Sportage (112 units).

The leaders are well-known manufacturers of affordable cars. Cheap models dominate the ranking. As always, such cars are in high demand among our customers. And almost all of them are crossovers.

However, Volkswagen Touareg stands out among the top ten, as this model is significantly more expensive than other cars in the statistics. And Skoda Octavia is the only passenger car in the top ten.
