UAE New Year's show with drones and fireworks sets two new Guinness World Records

Two Guinness World Records were broken in the capital of the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE: "The longest chain of floating fireworks on water" with a total length of 5.8 km and "The longest line of drones" with a total length of 2 km. The audience saw a spectacular eight-minute show.

This was reported by The Mirror. The spectacular event featured innovative techniques with 1,050 LED drones, a "carpet" of floating fireworks, and acrobatic pyroplanes. Elements of the show were inspired by the natural wonders of Ras Al Khaimah: the desert, sea and mountains.

When the clock struck midnight, the 5-kilometer-long coastline was transformed into a canvas of lights and colors. The eight-minute display captivated the crowd, and more than 50,000 viewers witnessed the event.

This celebration marks the emirate's fifth consecutive attempt to break Guinness World Records on New Year's Eve and also highlights Ras Al Khaimah's development as a leading tourist destination. 2023 was an exceptional year for tourism, with the emirate on track to exceed its annual visitor record from 2022 by an impressive 7%.
