Lean donuts for the Christmas table: the easiest and most successful recipe
Christmas donuts are a must-have dish on the festive table, they will not only perfectly decorate your Christmas table, but also fill the house with a very pleasant aroma. It's best to make the dough with yeast, so the donuts will be very airy and fluffy.

Ingredients:
- 150 ml. warm water
- 20 g of yeast
- 60 g of sugar
- 400 g of flour
- 0.5 tsp of salt
- zest of one orange/tangerine
- vanilla / vanilla extract
- 80 ml of oil
- oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Add live yeast to warm water. Add sugar and mix until smooth. Sift the flour, add salt, zest, vanilla and oil. Knead the dough first with a spatula and then with your hands for 5-10 minutes on the surface until it has a smooth, elastic consistency.
2. Put a ball of dough in a bowl, cover with a towel and leave it to rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
3. After the dough is kneaded, roll it out into a half-centimeter thick layer and cut out circles. Cover them with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
4. Fry the donuts in well-heated vegetable oil over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
5. Be sure to put the finished donuts on paper towels for 3-5 minutes. Then sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar.
