Ukraine's third-ranked player Elina Svitolina (WTA No. 31) will rent an apartment in Paris for the 2024 Olympics. The 29-year-old from Odesa refused to live in the Olympic Village due to health problems.

According to Svitolina, she has back pain, so she can't even sit for long periods.

"Because then you need to massage all the sciatic nerves for three hours, which pinch a little bit. So I decided that I would stay close by and rent an apartment here. I feel more comfortable here and it's good for my health too. I'm going to the opening ceremony tomorrow and will be there to see everyone," Svitolina said in an interview with Suspilne.Sport.
