How to make plum galette: the dough is quite simple
A galette is a flat, round pastry which can be prepared with any filling to your liking. It is quite easy to make and does not require much effort or special skills. At the same time, its taste and appearance are sure to please everyone.
A food blogger with the nickname goptarenkonatali showed how she makes a galette from the simplest dough on Instagram. She also demonstrated her favorite type of filling, which turned out to be plums.
Ingredients
- 82% butter - 100 g
- flour - 220 g
- eggs - 2 pcs
- sugar - 5 tbsp
- salt - a pinch
- corn starch - 1 tbsp
- pitted plums - 300 g
Method of preparation.
1. Grate the cold butter from the freezer into the sifted flour, add 1 tbsp of sugar and a pinch of salt, and mix with your hands until crumbs form.
2. Add 1 egg and 1 egg yolk (leave the white for greasing the galette), and quickly knead the dough, making a ball.
3. Wrap the dough in plastic film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Roll out the dough on parchment into a circle and sprinkle with half of the mixture (4 tbsp of sugar mixed with 1 tbsp of cornstarch).
5. Put the sliced plums, leaving 3 cm from the edge. Sprinkle with the rest of the sugar mixture and drag the edges of the dough to the center to form a galette.
6. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds or almond petals.
7. Bake at 200 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
