This simple nail art began to be created en masse after nail artist Tracy Lee turned the classic horizontal border of a French manicure into a vertical one in 2019, Woman.com reports. This year, the trend is spreading by Julie Kandalek, the nail artist of actresses Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, and Lauren Sanchez, who created her signature style – a colored line in the middle of the nail.

You can easily experiment with this shape of the French: draw a line horizontally or vertically, place it in different parts of the nail, round the ends, and add accent details, glitter, or stones. In particular, if you draw a stroke closer to the beginning of the nail plate, you can visually lengthen the nails.
