The premium car manufacturer Cadillac, like any other company, has the cheapest model in its lineup. Many people think that such a car should attract buyers, but the Cadillac XT4 will soon be discontinued.

The details are reported by Motor1. The Cadillac XT4 is a compact crossover the size of the VW Tiguan, which appeared in 2018. The main rivals of the model are BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes GLA.

Production of the Cadillac XT4 will be stopped in January 2025 as sales of this crossover have been declining recently. It was expected that production would be suspended for only a few months, but the company made a more radical decision about the model.

In the US home market, the price of the Cadillac XT4 starts at $38,000. This is about 10-15% cheaper than the main competitors, which still attract more buyers.

The Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas will be sent for modernization before the production of a new generation of low-cost Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles. It is not yet known whether the Cadillac XT4 will get a successor. But, most likely, assembly in China will continue for the local market.
