A powerful flare has occurred on the Sun that could cause the aurora borealis in a part of the world: where it will be visible

The Sun has once again experienced a high Class X flare. Experts predict that it may cause aurora borealis from Friday (September 13) and until Sunday (September 15).

According to scientists, this week has been very busy with solar activity. Powerful flares on the glowing star reached the most powerful class, which affected communication bands in Africa, Europe and parts of Asia, and it may also cause aurora borealis in these areas, Space.com writes.

Experts say Class X solar flares are the most powerful solar flares and are often accompanied by a total or partial loss of high frequency (HF) radio signals on our planet.

Forecasters at NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center will continue to analyze data to confirm how much coronal mass ejection (CME) can reach Earth's magnetic field from both a Class X flare and a group of Class M flares (the second most powerful) that were generated earlier.

Experts note when a sunspot region emits a solar flare, CMEs move away from the solar corona. When they point toward Earth, we feel the impacts a few days later. Weather-sensitive people may feel worse.

The Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) said that from Friday evening and throughout the weekend, polar aurora seekers should keep a close eye on the evening sky, which can present multicolored cosmic shimmers.
