When are the next Summer Olympics: date and venue

The thirty-third Summer Olympics ended the day before in Paris. The U.S. team won the medal competition, winning 40 gold medals and outperforming China with more silver medals.

The Americans will host the next Olympics in the summer of 2028. Los Angeles will host the Games for the third time in its history. The competitions will take place from July 14 to 30. Athletes are expected to compete in 35 disciplines.

Los Angeles was previously the host city of the Olympics in 1932 and 1984. For the United States, this will be the fifth summer Olympics and the ninth overall. The last time the main summer quadrennial tournament visited America was in 1996 in Atlanta. Those Summer Games were the first in the history of independent Ukraine, which then won 23 medals, including nine golds.

Interestingly, two years before that, the capital of the upcoming Games will be one of the host cities of the FIFA World Cup, which will take place in 2026 on the fields of the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
