Newsreels are an incredible opportunity to see familiar places as they were in different years. For example, the cameramen recorded Kyiv and its life in 1994, the third year of Ukraine's independence.

The recording was published on the Telegram channel of the Historical Kyiv community. You can see what the capital was like 30 years ago.

"Kyiv in the video chronicle of 1994. Maidan, Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street with chestnuts and Kyiv bridges," the post reads.
