It is very easy for strangers to break into a hotel room. Apartments are usually equipped with doors with a low level of security. Tourists' suitcases can be stolen by both staff and criminals from the street.

This was told by a former flight attendant of FLIGHT. The flight attendant became a blogger and now, with the nickname Cici In the Sky, she tells how to avoid theft in her Tik-Tok.

"Room break-ins happen more often than people think. To protect your belongings, you need to know a few rules," says Cicy.

In one of the videos, the blogger showed how to prop up the door with an ironing board. This will serve as an improvised means to deter burglars. When someone wants to enter the room, the board will fall, and it will make a loud noise.

In hotel rooms, it is worth covering the peephole on the front door. This way, potential thieves won't be able to find out if there is anything valuable in the room beforehand.

Cici insists that you should always lock the door with a key or an additional bolt. "I've had a lot of situations where staff entered my room without permission when I was in the restroom or changing clothes," the blogger says.

If the door is locked with a deadbolt and has an automatic handle, it can be additionally secured with a hanger. You need to put it on with a hook on the bolt and a base on the handle, so the criminal will not be able to open the door.

Blogger Sisi recommends that tourists traveling with valuables buy a lock with an alarm. She puts one on the door and the other on the suitcase. This device costs up to $10 and can save your property.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL wrote about things that can almost always be obtained for free at the hotel. The administration is always ready to meet guests' needs.
