A "record-breaker" girl with 6 kg weight was born in Dnipro: medics told about the birth. Video

A baby girl weighing 6 kilograms and 60 centimeters tall was born in Dnipro , which came as a surprise to both the woman in labor and the doctors. The child is doing well and was named Myroslava. According to doctors, in time she will not differ in size from her peers.

According to TSN, the family from Nikopol had been dreaming of a child for two and a half years. Anastasia Tokarchuk found out about her pregnancy on her birthday. Her husband is a police officer on duty, and her father is on the front line.

" I had practically no stomach at all until the seventh month, and then at about seven and a half,maybe eight months, I said: "I'm having a trouble breathing, I have bruises on my ribs." By the ninth month, my belly was so huge. My nephew used to say to me: "Auntie, when are you going to burst?" she said.

According to the results of the ultrasound in Nikopol, the baby was supposed to be half  of the actual size. When Anastasia arrived in Dnipro to give birth, the local doctors had already realized that the baby would be big and decided to perform a cesarean section.

"When we first pulled out these cheeks, and then the torso, and then there was such a sweet little baby, we were very impressed, because no one expected to see 6 kilograms," says Anastasia's doctor.

There are no giants in the family, says the woman in labor. But the woman has had diabetes since childhood, which could have affected her daughter. However, even under such circumstances, babies are usually born up to 5 kg, doctors say.

"It's been a long time since there were such giant children. Her mother has severe diabetes, but she is very conscientious and takes care of her health, she follows all the recommendations, and she takes insulin therapy only according to the regimen. She is a very good girl," the doctor said.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, on August 30, one of the largest newborns in Ukraine was born in Rivne to a military family. The baby weighs 6330 g and is 65 cm tall.
